As the Founder and CEO of BrandStory Architech, Malcolm brings over two decades of experience in media sales and innovation, having worked with pioneering companies like Myspace, Maker Studios, and Essence. Her extensive career in the Creator Economy and brand storytelling makes her a valuable asset to the advisory board. In a recent conversation with BrandStorytelling Director and Founder, Rick Parkhill, Malcolm shared insights from her dynamic career and discussed her vision for the future of storytelling in the digital age.



Malcolm reflects on her early career, starting with her role at shopping.com, where she discovered her passion for innovation and problem-solving within the media landscape. This passion led her to significant positions at Myspace, Conde Nast, and later, leadership roles at StyleHaul, Maker Studios, and Quibi. Each of these roles helped shape her understanding of the evolving media consumption patterns and the importance of connecting brands with authentic storytelling.


Malcolm discusses her entrepreneurial journey, which culminated in the launch of Brand Story Architech. Her new venture aims to bridge the gap between brands and the new generation of digital-first storytellers. Brand Story Architech operates with a focus on three core divisions: creativity, connectivity, and collective, each designed to help brands engage meaningfully with audiences, particularly Gen Z.


The conversation also touches on the growing influence of the Creator Economy and how Malcolm's company helps brands navigate this landscape. She highlights the importance of marrying art with science, leveraging AI to craft and measure the effectiveness of storytelling campaigns.
