GetYourGuide Launches New Series Showcasing High-Profile Athletes on Their Travels

GetYourGuide, a leading global online marketplace for unforgettable travel experiences, has announced the launch of a new campaign series titled “Offseason by GetYourGuide.” The campaign, created in partnership with the agency Quality Meats, aims to bring to life the unique and memorable nature of travel through the eyes of high-profile athletes.
The series kicks off with two films. The first,“The Jeffersons Take Rome”, features Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and his family as they embark on an adventure in Rome. The film showcases a variety of activities including a vintage car guided tour of the city, dining at a local’s home, enjoying a rooftop opera show, and a private tour of the Vatican Museum. The second film, “Kyle & Winnie’s Riviera Rendezvous”, follows Washington Wizards basketball player Kyle Kuzma and his girlfriend, model Winnie Harlow, as they explore the French Riviera. Their journey includes panoramic views of Villefranche-sur-Mer and Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, a game of Petanque at Café de la Place, and a Provencal wine tour.
Directed by award-winning documentarian Floyd Russ, known for his Netflix documentaries “Malice At the Palace” and “American Manhunt,” the films capture candid and personal moments, providing audiences with an authentic look at the athletes’ travel experiences. “We wanted to showcase the unique experiences GetYourGuide has to offer but through the lens of famous athletes that we’re used to seeing in a certain light,” said Brian Siedband, Co-Founder & Co-CCO of Quality Meats. “When you take them out of that context, and see them out of their comfort zones like we all are when we travel, that’s where things get interesting.”
The series aims to build brand awareness among a target audience referred to as “Explorers.” These consumers are characterized by their desire to deeply engage with the destinations they visit and the people they meet. Research from GetYourGuide indicates that Explorers are almost twice as likely to book travel experiences online and have multiple trips planned for the upcoming year.
In addition to the full-length films, the 360 campaign includes 30 and 15-second versions that highlight the diverse experiences available through the GetYourGuide app. The campaign will be featured on various platforms, including CTV/streaming services, social media, digital channels, and PR activations. This initiative is part of GetYourGuide’s broader brand marketing strategy, which includes efforts in the U.S., U.K., France, and Germany.
